Aaron R. Shope, a former atheist turned inspirational speaker and addiction recovery advocate, conducts transformative workshops and shares personal insights and practical tools from his own experience to empower individuals in their journey from addiction to recovery. The two-day, 6-hour workshop covers topics such as neurochemistry and the disease model of addiction, catering primarily to individuals in the precontemplation, contemplation, and preparation phases of change.

Naloxone Kits will be distributed, along with how to use them.
Naloxone is a medication that rapidly reverses the effects of opioid overdose by blocking the opioids' action in the brain. It essentially presses a reset button on the respiratory system, helping the person breathe again. Naloxone is administered through a nasal spray or injection and is a crucial tool in saving lives during opioid emergencies.
In Ohio, we have a fantastic initiative called Project DAWN (Deaths Avoided With Naloxone). Think of it as our community coming together to be real-life heroes. Project DAWN provides training and access to Naloxone so that anyone, even without medical background, can be equipped to save a life during an opioid overdose. It's like having a safety net for our loved ones and neighbors.
By learning more about Naloxone and supporting initiatives like Project DAWN, we all become part of this powerful force against opioid-related tragedies. Spread the word, because knowledge and action are the keys to saving lives.
